Adding distinctive features to Alarm Cylinders with which it blazed the trail all around the world, Kale Kilit developed and launched its new version. Awarded as the “Good Design” by Design Turkey, “Alarm Cylinders” give a sound of 100 decibels around when the cylinder is broken, owing to its new special technology; thus stopping a thief or an intruder at the door before he breaks into a house. The most important feature of Alarm Cylinders is that it can run independently from an alarm system.
Offering a wide range of security solutions from house and cabinet locks to hotel card locks; steel safes to steel doors and fire doors; and window systems to electronic safety systems, Kale Kilit, a subsidiary of Kale Endüstri Holding, added distinctive features to Alarm Cylinders with which it blazed the trail all around the world, and developed and launched its new version.
Developed by Kale Kilit R&D Engineers and bringing about a radical change in cylinders, new Alarm Cylinders can stop thieves by preventing them to break into homes. Awarded as the “Best Design” by Design Turkey in 2017, the product warns surroundings by giving a sound of 100 decibels when it is broken. So it keeps thieves out and prevents any possible incidents of theft before they occur. Only the front part is removed if the lock is broken, so you can have easy access to the house by using the key. Alarm Cylinders have two batteries - one is spare - allowing the alarm to go off, and the product can be used by replacing a new battery when it runs out.

Highlighting that the most significant feature of Alarm Cylinders produced by Kale Kilit, an affiliate of Kale Endüstri Holding, which is the only integrated security company in Turkey, is the ability to run independently from the alarm system itself; Sinan Yorgancıgil, Kale Kilit Marketing and Business Development Director, adds:
An Alarm Cylinder is a product that can be used independently and individually for houses, though not fitted with alarm systems. It suits each door and lock on which standard cylinders are used in Turkey. This means you can buy them from locksmiths or building supply or hardware stores and replace existing cylinders easily. Owing to its advantage, it is a product that everybody can easily possess and use even if they do not have an alarm system in their homes.
Putting emphasis on results of a research “Security Habits of Turkey” – the most comprehensive consumer research conducted by Kale Endüstri Holding and carried out in this business line for the purpose of creating awareness on ‘living in safety’, Yorgancıgil points out: “Our research that ferrets out interesting results on security habits at homes and offices reveals that people have the fear of confronting or getting harmed by, thieves or malevolent intruders, meaning, however, that they are not afraid of their valuables stolen at their homes. Suggesting that confronting a thief is a significant concern that threatens the life safety and has serious psychological effects on family members, the research also points out to the fact that the invasion of privacy – by an intruder touching belongings at home – is a stand-alone element of anxiety. The security technology must permanently be updated
Yorgancıgil adds: “The research we have recently carried out emphasizes that the Turkish people never change cylinders «unless a theft incident occurs, or they move into a new house or lose keys». However, thieves always develop their methods. Consumers are therefore required to update their security systems just as they always do for their phones whenever new technologies emerge."
